OUR ETHOS

Par en Par is deeply rooted in materiality. Before designing each collection, we carefully consider our fabrics — where they come from, their impact on the earth — and source them from artisans committed to craftsmanship and sustainability.

OUR FABRICS

Our cotton fabric is handwoven from organic fibers in India, one of the largest producers of cotton in the world. Their sheer scale of production allows us to source high-quality fabric at an attainable price, all while supporting sustainable weaving methods.

OUR PROCESS

We went to various regions in India to document our production process, starting in Kerala in coastal southern India. For our textile packaging, we partnered with Projecthrive, a socially conscious initiative committed to female employment and empowerment.

OUR ARTISANS

On location with artisans from an artisan cooperative in Kerala (photographed here) that specializes in organic cotton textile weaving — entirely by hand.

OUR COTTON

Our organic cotton is sourced from Salem, Tamil Nadu, then transported to Kannur, Kerala, where it’s handwoven into fabric. Each yarn is carefully separated then wrapped around wooden beams for the right tension and consistency.

OUR GARMENTS

Our fabrics take artisans days to complete. About one day of work goes into handweaving the materials for each Par en Par garment alone before being crafted into garments in Delhi.
